Cactus McCoy is a platformer game where you play as a cowboy named McCoy, who must fight his way through levels filled with enemies and obstacles to retrieve a valuable treasure.
Once a cowboy, Cactus McCoy stumbled upon a cursed cactus stone deep inside a cave. Overnight, he was transformed into a sentient cactus, and now he is being pursued by many enemies, with wanted posters plastered throughout the Wild West. Your task is to aid him in navigating this dangerous terrain, defeating his adversaries, and ultimately, reclaiming his human form, if possible.
How to play
Here are the basic controls for playing Cactus McCoy:
- Movement: Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move McCoy left and right. To jump, press the up arrow key.
- Attack: To attack, use the A key on your keyboard. McCoy can punch, kick, and use various weapons he finds throughout the levels.
- Pick up items: To pick up an item, stand next to it and press the down arrow key. McCoy can pick up weapons, treasure, and other useful items.
- Special abilities: As you progress through the game, McCoy will gain special abilities like double-jumping, wall-jumping, and sliding. These abilities will help you navigate through the levels.
- Health: McCoy has a health bar that decreases whenever he takes damage from enemies or obstacles. To regain health, collect cactus fruits found throughout the levels.
- Save points: Cactus McCoy has to save points located throughout the levels. When you reach a save point, your progress will be saved, and you can restart from that point if you die.
