Wave Rider is a high-octane water sports simulator where you play as a professional surfer as you control your speed and overcome obstacles to go as far as possible.
The gameplay of Wave Rider centers on The Boards & Jet Skis, the primary vehicles used to conquer the waves. Players can unlock dozens of different surfboards and high-speed Jet Skis using the primary currency entity: Starfish. While surfing, you must navigate through a dense environment of The Hazards. These natural obstacles include floating Logs, sharp Rocks, dangerous Holes, and steep Waterfalls.
A critical mechanic in this game is the Collision logic—it is "merciless." A single hit against any of The Hazards ends your journey immediately, with no chance for a revival.
As you progress, the game features Scaling Difficulty, where your speed increases significantly. This requires razor-sharp focus to collect Starfish along the way while weaving through increasingly complex layers of obstacles. Your ultimate goal is to accumulate the highest Distance to secure your spot on the leaderboard.
