Stickman Hook is a physics-based platformer with a simple objective: use your grappling hook to help your stickman swing through obstacles and reach the finish line without falling into the abyss.

Developed by Madbox, Stickman Hook is a fast-paced physics-based platformer that challenges your reflexes and understanding of motion.

How to Play Stickman Hook

Swing to move

The core of the game lies in its grappling hook mechanics. You connect to Anchor Points scattered throughout the sky. Once hooked, your Stickman acts like a pendulum, gaining speed based on the length of the cord and the point of release. Mastering momentum is your biggest asset—learning when to hold on and when to let go determines how far you’ll fly.

Using objects to launch

Levels are filled with bounce pads and trampolines. These helpful entities can launch you forward or skyward, allowing you to maintain speed even when there are no anchor points nearby. However, you must stay alert for obstacles that block your path, requiring split-second timing to navigate.

Conquer all levels

As you conquer over 100 levels, you'll face increasing difficulty. To keep things fresh, you can unlock various skins to customize your character. These are earned by reaching milestones or through weekly rewards, turning your basic stickman into something unique.

Controls

  • Shoot Hook: Click and Hold / Tap and Hold
  • Swing: Keep Holding
  • Release / FlyRelease Mouse / Lift Finger
  • Ball Mode: Automatic when not hooked (allows for bouncing)

Tips to Play Stickman Hook

Momentum Over Speed: It’s tempting to tap as fast as possible, but "chaotic" tapping often leads to a loss of control. Focus on creating long, smooth swings to build up heavy momentum. A well-timed release at the bottom of a swing will launch you much further than several short, jittery hooks.

Find Your Rhythm: Think of each level as a sequence of beats. Swing -> Release -> Bounce. Once you find the intended "flow" of the map, the obstacles become much easier to predict.

Aim for the Center of Bounce Pads: When falling, try to align yourself with the center of a trampoline. Hitting the edge can send you off at an awkward angle, making it harder to catch the next anchor point.

Trust Your Muscle Memory: The game relies heavily on "feel." If you fail a level, don't get frustrated—each attempt trains your brain to recognize the physics. Eventually, you'll be clearing complex stages with your eyes half-closed!
